Last week, we visited one of our Tiny House builders in Romania. Worthwhile, as the Tiny House factory there has doubled in capacity in the past two years. In the early 2020s, this factory was building 60 Tiny Houses a year, today it is more than 140. Is this a lot? Yes, especially if we look at the number of tiny house builders in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, we mainly know a number of larger chalet builders but when it comes to Tiny Houses, they are often one-person builders who can build a maximum of two tiny houses per year. Especially with the latter group, there are a number of risks you need to consider if you decide to have your Tiny House built in the Netherlands.
Have Tiny House built
Are you considering having a Tiny House built in the Netherlands? Choose a reliable builder with experience and the right guarantees. We regularly receive calls from individuals who have run into problems with his or her Tiny House builder. Think leaks, wrong use of materials, price agreements that are not met. From TINY, we work with three factories in three countries. Each factory has developed its own models. Over the years, these models have been developed to such an extent that today we can confidently give our customers a 5-year warranty.
Opt for as little customisation as possible
Just like with normal houses, you prefer to look for a Tiny House that fits your needs completely. With good Tiny House builders, there is always room for customisation but "limited". Why? Quite simply, did your first time cycling directly 100% go smoothly? No! When we at TINY talk to our clients about customisation, it's generally about material choices and the style of the bathroom, floor, kitchen and windows. We recently opened a real showroom in Werkhoven. Here you can view two Tiny House models from two of our suppliers. Feel free to drop by before you consider having a tiny house custom-built.
